How much does an online psychologist consultation cost in India?
At MindHope, a single session is ₹449 for chat, ₹699 for audio and ₹899 for video, including GST. 3 and 5 session plans bring the price per session down. All plans are on the pricing page.
Will I speak to a real psychologist or an AI chatbot?
Always a real person. Every session is with a qualified counsellor who holds at least a Master's in Psychology. We never use chatbots in place of psychologists.
What qualifications do MindHope psychologists have?
Every counsellor holds at least a Master's in Psychology, and several are RCI licenced or have a PhD. Each profile lists their qualifications and years of experience.
Is an online psychologist consultation effective?
Yes. For common concerns like anxiety, stress and low mood, research shows online sessions work about as well as meeting in person. Many people also find it easier to open up from home.
How do I know if I need to see a psychologist?
If worry, low mood, stress or relationship problems have affected your sleep, work or daily life for a few weeks, it's a good time to talk to someone. You don't need a referral or a diagnosis.
Can a psychologist prescribe medicine?
No. Psychologists provide talking therapy and don't prescribe medicine. If your psychologist feels a psychiatrist or doctor should be involved, they will tell you openly.
Is chat with a psychologist as effective as a video call?
Chat works well for many people, especially if talking out loud feels hard. Video feels closest to meeting in person. You can choose a different session type each time you book.
How soon can I talk to a psychologist online?
It depends on each psychologist's availability, and there are often open slots within a day or two. Slots can be booked as long as at least 15 minutes remain before the start time. Available times show when you book.
What happens in the first session?
Your psychologist asks what's been happening and what you've already tried. You share only what you're comfortable with. Most people leave with one or two things to try that week.
How long is a session, and how many will I need?
Each session is 45 to 60 minutes. Some people feel clearer after one or two sessions, others prefer regular support for a few weeks. You're never locked into a long package.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Sessions are private and never recorded. Nothing is shared with your family, employer or college, except in the rare case where someone's safety is at risk.
Can I switch psychologists if it doesn't feel right?
Yes, at no extra cost. It's normal for the first match not to feel perfect. Just tell us and we'll help you switch.
How do I book a session?
Choose a psychologist, pick chat, audio or video, select a time and pay online. You'll get a confirmation by email straight away.
